Afternoon Sweets

I need to figure out a way to deal with my afternoon sweet tooth! I'll eat my lunch, and about 5 minutes later I get a mad craving for something sweet. I don't know whether to give in a little (sometimes just one bite of whatever will help) or resist, or do I need to find a replacement?

It's especially hard when I KNOW there is sweets in the house. If it were up to me, there wouldn't be... but I'm not the only candy lover in the house... just the only one who wants to break this habit!

  1. This is Sarah from Sweetin... I find a great replacement is sweet teas. Licorice, chocolate, caramel flavours are delicious if you get a good brand (I favour T2 tea!). I have a pot of licorice tea midmorning with a handful of nuts and I see that it curbs my cravings later on :)

  2. My weakness is night time! After dinner, getting close to bed, but time to read or watch a movie. I ALWAYS get a sweet tooth or something of the sort.
I have been trying to conquer it with fat free/low sugar hot drinks - a special kind of hot chocoloate, or tea. And one marshmallow in it usually does the trick.
But sometimes I go bad... :p
